Kwik-Fit is to transform its 200-strong fleet of Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 316 CDI 3.5 tonne medium wheelbase vans with a fully-wrapped livery of blue and yellow.
Put another way: Kwik-Fit vans will now be blue and yellow instead of white.
There are already 20 Kwik-Fit vans on the road, displaying the new look, with 54 more vans to get the makeover in the next few weeks.
A further 40 Kwik-Fit vans will also display the well-known corporate colours of blue and yellow during the course of 2014 and 2015.
In addition to the cosmetic changes, all Kwik-Fit vans are to be outfitted with new equipment such as:
Other more minor changes are also to be made, following feedback from van technicians.
Simon Lucas, Kwik-Fit fleet operations director said: “Our research revealed that we could generate improved visibility and therefore potentially extra business by introducing a more striking livery on the mobile fleet than our previous livery displayed on a white van.”
Mr Lucas said: “Utilising Kwik Fit’s corporate blue and yellow colours does, we believe, provide a significantly enhanced mobile billboard to raise greater awareness of our “we’ll come to you” tyre fitting service.”
These improvements in the Kwik-Fit mobile tyre fitting service are evidence of the continued investment in the business by parent company Itochu Corporation since it acquired Kwik-Fit almost three years ago.
This dovetails nicely with the 250&percent; year-on-year increase in retail sales, not to mention increasing demand for Kwik-Fit mobile from both corporate as well as retail customers.
